What is a certified translation?
Private institutions and government authorities in Germany and abroad often ask for certified translations of official and legal documents and reports in order to provide for a clear, accurate and legally binding translation.
In Germany, certified translations may only be officially verified by a sworn translator authorised by the District Court. Each certified translation is verified with a seal, the signature of the certified translator as well as a statement by the translator saying that the translation is a true and correct translation of the original.
I require a certified translation. How should I proceed?
If you require a certified translation, please send us the document to be translated and certified via e-mail. Subject to prior agreement, you may also personally bring along the original document to be translated and certified.
Once we have received your text, we will get back to you as soon as possible and send you a quote via e-mail. After you have reviewed and agreed to the quote and the conditions, we are ready to go.
Once we have completed the certified translation, you can collect the documents in person. Please note that the amount invoiced for certified translations becomes due immediately and is to be made, at the option of the client, either by advance payment or by cash payment upon delivery.
